PDF Technology commercialization is challenging – even in the best of circumstances. Overcoming those challenges and advancing technologies through difficult development transitions is the mission of the Research, Development and Commercialization team.
In collaboration with a variety of university, incubator and industry partners, the Research, Development and Commercialization team:
- Finds promising new companies and technologies;
- Assists in the formation of ventures ready to pursue the commercialization of new technologies;
- Funds those organizations with early-stage and pre-seed capital;
- Follows those venture capital investments with mentoring, support and direct commercialization assistance.
Building on the Dayton Region’s rich heritage of successful innovation, the Research, Development and Commercialization team’s primary focus is on identifying and commercializing technology in the Aerospace Systems, Advanced Materials and Manufacturing, IT & Data Management and Human Sciences and Healthcare market segments. Our knowledge, experience and collaborative relationships help accelerate the movement of technology across the entire commercialization process.
