2011 was a significant year for Ohio’s economic development efforts. More than 40 recruitment, retention, and expansion projects stimulated economic development across the Dayton Region, creating more than 2,600 jobs, 270.2 million dollars in capital investment and 1.2 million square feet in commercial real estate.
Due to the strong performance in 2011, the Region’s strategic industries are projected to account for nearly 8,000 jobs over the next five years.
