Amber Begley

Director, Military Affairs

Amber is the Director of Military Affairs for the Dayton Development Coalition. She is charged with creating and maintaining relationships between the community and Dayton area defense installations.

Prior to her role as the Director of Military Affairs, she was the Special Events Manager for the Dayton Development Coalition and managed core events for the Coalition including, but not limited to, the annual Community Leader Fly-In, community events, Hometown Heroes, military receptions, development forums, and many others.

Before her tenure at the Coalition, Amber spent nearly 8 years at Universal Technology Corporation in Beavercreek, OH, as an events coordinator. In this role she specialized in planning federal government conferences, events, and meetings.

Born and raised in the Dayton area, Amber received her B.A. from Cedarville University in Organizational Communications. Amber is a member of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) and is also a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP). Amber was a recipient of the Dayton Business Journal’s 40 under Forty award in 2016.

Amber is proud to serve on the Air Education and Training Command’s (AETC) Civic Leader Program as the representative for the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT). Amber serves on the board of DaytonDefense as their Vice President. She is also on the Boards for the Dayton chapter of Blue Star Families, the Dayton Performing Arts Alliance (DPAA) and the AFIT Foundation. She is involved in her church and is an active community volunteer in her spare time. Amber and her husband, Broc, have three children and reside in the Dayton Region.
