Lucious Plant supports the Dayton Development Coalition as Director of Talent Acquisition. He leads the integration of JobsOhio’s Talent Acquisition Services into the Dayton Region. He develops and coordinates the delivery of a wide range of talent acquisition strategies and services for businesses expanding or seeking to locate in the Dayton Region.

He previously served as a Project Manager and Corporate Retention Manager at the Dayton Development Coalition. He’s utilized JobsOhio program initiatives to attract and retain jobs in strategic industry sectors.

Lucious has a unique knowledge of the region’s workforce assets and capabilities. He has over 30 years of experience in workforce development. He successfully managed talent acquisition and workforce development at the largest and most comprehensive, single site Job Center in the country.

He has also managed state and federal workforce grants that provided the regional support in transforming its workforce that were negatively impacted by the Great Recession. His work in organizing regional workforce responsiveness resulted in a National Association of Counties (NACO) award for Strategic Workforce Planning.

He has been a panelist and presenter at state, regional and national workforce conferences. He was named one of Miami Valley Urban League’s Pillars in 2022. The Pillar Award is given to distinguished leaders who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to serving the Miami Valley.

He holds a Degree in Business Administration from Central State University.
