FASTLANE

A program of the University of Dayton Research Institute, FASTLANE-MEP is a manufacturing resource staffed with a team of specialized manufacturing and engineering consultants to help accelerate manufacturing success, advance innovation and drive growth through technology acceleration, continuous improvement, workforce development, supply chain optimization and sustainability. It connects manufacturers to a vast network of affordable resources, including expert engineers, scientists, manufacturers, suppliers and other professionals throughout the greater Dayton Region.

FASTLANE is West-Central Ohio’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) located within the University of Dayton Research Institute as the Manufacturing Technology Solutions Accelerator Office. MEP is a national network created by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to help small and medium-sized manufacturers become more innovative in order to drive economic growth and create jobs.

The Emerson Climate Technologies Helix

The Helix Innovation Center is a 40,000-square-foot facility located on the University of Dayton campus focused on providing a collaborative environment for researchers, academia and industry professionals to develop solutions to industry challenges.

The center contains five real-world simulated environments, including a fully functioning and furnished home, a model supermarket, a light commercial environment, a commercial kitchen, and a data center. These modules provide a collective sandbox for rapid prototyping and practical applications.
