Chewy announced in October 2018 its plans to build a fulfillment center near the Dayton International Airport, which will employ 600 new workers.

Chewy currently employs more than 7,000 workers at 11 locations across the United States. Chewy has seven fulfillment centers, as well as, its new location in Dayton, first in the state of Ohio and eighth in the country. 

BUSINESS NEED
Chewy began searching for a location for its new fulfillment center that would allow them to enhance their delivery network and provide customers with an even faster delivery service. Chewy needed a talented workforce and a diverse transportation system that provided reliable and affordable shipping options. 

OHIO SOLUTION
The fast-growing logistics cluster at the Dayton International Airport offered all the requirements Chewy was looking for: a strategic location with easy access to a national transportation network, a skilled workforce, and collaborative partners ready to support the needs of a new Ohio employer.
