Community Details

40. Community Need Funding will enhance the Air Force Research Laboratory's (AFRL) ongoing research in Advanced Air Mobility (AAM), electric vertical takeoff and landing vehicles (eVTOL), and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS). Upgrades are aimed at meeting three requirements: allow for more complex operations, serve larger and more complex aircraft platforms, and increase safety of operations. The funding will enhance the capability of the National Advanced Air Mobility Center of Excellence (NAAMCE) at the Springfield-Beckley Municipal Airport. In addition to supporting national defense capability, the upgrades will also support the State of Ohio which is a partner in SkyVision.
