3. Short description The project includes replacing two rooftop chillers, the HVAC controls and other incidental equipment, and replacing the existing fluorescent lights with LED lighting fixtures. The existing HVAC chillers and controls are 16 years old, at the end of their life cycle, and lack the technology necessary to maintain comfort and heat and cool the building in an efficient manner. The existing lighting is of poor quality by modern standards and is very inefficient to operate.

Community Details

40. Community Need The Fort Piqua Plaza is home to the Piqua Public Library, a community Banquet Center, and a restaurant and ice cream shop. The structure receives a substantial amount of community use and is a destination venue for weddings and other events.

Federal and State historic tax credits and state capital funding sources were utilized to support the renovation of the Fort Piqua Plaza in 2007/2008.
